Baby's Death Brings Warning On Dangers

This is yet another hit on co-sleeping. You CAN NOT lump ALL bed sharing incidents together. I am quite sure natural parents would NOT be placing themselves in precarious and dangerous situations in the family bed. They have a certain level of responsibility that they fulfill. The mother of this child was also smoking while pregnant so that shows she wasn't taking her responsibilities seriously.

No one bothered to dig deeper for this story. They just took one look and thought they could sum it all up in one broad sweeping statement with no regard to who gets thrown under the bus (unfairly).

There is a big difference in co-sleeping intentionally as a planned parenting practice and not. While this article doesn't support co-sleeping, many natural mothers WHO ARE IN TUNED TO THEIR BABIES successfully and safely share their bed. In that type of environment:

1) breastfeeding flourishes
2) babies needs for feeling safe are met and
3) parents assure a peaceful environment at home
