Controlling Elimination

by Chante
(IN)

Now that my 4mo. has developed control over her elimination, I'm thrilled and amazed at the instances where she showcases her mastery.

One morning after she woke up, I took off her diaper and saw that I had interrupted her fluid elimination. She stopped and I took her to the bathroom (I don't even have to rush her there anymore). After we were settled on the toilet, she continued to eliminate. Then her sister and brother came in. She stopped again and smiled at them while cooing. After her siblings had left the bathroom she continued again to eliminate.

Now THAT is control that shocks me. I almost wouldn't believe it if someone told me their 4mo. was doing that, but here I am experiencing it for myself...and telling you.

I guess she gets used to going to the toilet to eliminate and knows the procedure we take to get her there. Those little ones are smart.

Inspiring
by: Adele

WOW, that's amazing - and here we are not potty training until 18mths because They tell us they don't have the 'wiring' to be able to have that control?

It's not too late!
by: Chante

YES! You should try now! Your baby is older than mine so it should be easier to pick up on the routine. If you have any questions, just let me know! If you need a refresher, just start with the basics!

Wow
by: LaToriya

Wow that is so amazing! I've heard people talk about this before, but I figured it was usually done in other countries or with people who have only one child. Well you have certainly inspired me to give it a try. My baby is eight months now. Thanks!
