Dispelling the Disadvantages of Homeschooling

My oldest daughter was homeschooled. Then she went to a small private high school. She was never a wall flower. She teaches language in another country now. She's very social and outgoing and EVEN teaches dance.

My son is the farthest thing from a wall flower. He is a friendly - thoughtful and well spoken young man. He has been a manager at his job for the past year.

My 3rd child, my daughter, is more shy, but takes art and photography and is VERY good at both. She, along with my 4th child (also a daughter), are doing an apprenticeship in basket making with a Native teacher. They attend demo's and TALK to everyone.


I think too many people relate homeschool to living on the prairie in the early 1800's with no one else around for miles

THERE are so many opportunities and so many chances for homeschoolers to grow and BE who they are not what some system expects or peer pressure forces.
