We love Art Museums! One of our favorite places to visit is our local Saint Louis Art Museum. We have also visited the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum in Kansas City - another amazing place. Love, love it.

Art Museums are usually free, a big plus and the exhibits are great discussion pieces especially if you are trying to open up more communication with your child.

Activities at Art Museums tend to be low-energy, which promotes active thinking provides a more relaxing outing. If you have younger kids, don't plan on staying more than a couple of hours, but with preteens and older, you may be surprised to find they want to stay all day!
