She's 3 months!

by Chante
(IN)

I've been EC'ing for roughly over two months now. I can read her signals and decide if I want to potty her (since I'm still only doing part-time). It also seems like she holds it just a little until I get her cloth diaper off and positioned over the toilet.

I prefer her to eliminate over our toilet while I hold her back against me with my hands under her thighs. She's gotten pretty comfortable with that position and seeing familiar surroundings seems to make her happy as she eliminates. I'm sure my sing-song vocal encouragement and cue sounds are a welcome encouragement to her as well.

It's interesting that the people I've talked to about EC think it's a strange occurrence until I share with them how it's nothing more than choosing not to reinforce a bad habit. After I say that, the light bulb goes on and they fully understand.
