I had an opportunity to let my son try out a fun online home education program called Time4Learning.

We use it a couple of times a week to add on to things we are already learning. Some days we used it to get more practice as he needed on things we were learning at the time. Other times were just review days. He loved it so much that I have to make him get off the computer. Not only was he just having fun but he was learning the same things that are being taught in public schools for his grade level. The curriculum has Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. When you sign up you can fill out a simple questionnaire to help you decide what level your child is on. This helps to have your child not just at a particular grade level, but he can do things at a higher grade level based upon your answers to the screening questions.

There are educational teaching games for kids Preschool through 8th grade levels. Whether your child is mainstream, special needs, or gifted; the people at Time4Learning have combined learning with fun to keep your child engaged. It can be used for homeschooling as a core or supplement curriculum for one or more subjects.

What I liked most about the program is that I didn't have to help my son so much with his lessons. It is a very interactive program where he can work independently. The program is user, or should I say "kid", friendly to navigate. He spent a lot of time in the Language Arts section because we already have a full curriculum for other subjects we are doing. It also helped him to comprehend some things we were learning a lot better by listening to the cartoon characters which helped him to stay focused. He loves an excuse to be on the computer. I was glad that this way he was learning rather than just entertaining himself. One other thing I liked about having this available is for days when we want to be a little more relaxed in our lessons for the day.

The cost to use this program is $19.95 a month with a 14 day money back guarantee. If you have more than one child it costs that much for the first child and an additional $14.95 a month for the second child. Each child gets his or her own login name and password to do their lessons. One thing you should know is that the price does not change if you only used one or a certain selection of subjects.
