Timing A Little Off

by Chante
(IN)

Today was a day full of misses! I'm okay with that though, because it did show me that I knew when she had to go. It's hard to explain, but a Mama knows when her baby should or does have to go. I'm not sure if it'll happen all the time, but I didn't have that knowledge before I started trying to practice EC. It's like that knowledge of my little one is being uncovered to me little by little as I continue on my EC'ing journey. I'm gradually opening my eyes to it and learning about my little one. Most of the time I was off by just a few seconds so that's very encouraging for me. Even though I had misses and a part of me wants to get discouraged because of it, I'm choosing to revel in this new found wisdom and encourage myself to continue on.

I had her laying on her back with her diaper open for those times I just missed her. I'm thinking I could just work on my timing. If she's in the middle of one I'll just chalk it up to a loss and make the sound.
